Sri Hamsavahini Kalalayam is an Academy of training and research centre for Indian Classical dance (Bharatanatyam & Kuchipudi) Folk, Rabindra Nrittya, Creative Dance & Cog- nitive Dance Therapy, Yoga, Meditation. Sri Hamsavahini Kalalayam began her journey in the year of 1999 with a vision and mission of the awareness of rich culture of Indian Classical and Folk Dance to the pupils of every categories in the society. To keep the main focus on basic level of classical dance and emphasis for root level training of all students is always our prime aspect. SHK always give the opportunity for all students to expose to the outer world rather than the classroom training only. SHK have achieved different national and international recogni- tion with the students. The Principle of SHK Anuradha Roy has recently introduced a dream research project, the neuro- cognitive of dance therapy for awareness & acknowledge- ment of dance therapy to a great extent. At present she is associated with Prof. Dipak Ghosh, Emeritus Professor, Sir C.V. Raman Centre for Physics and Music, Jadavpur Univer- sity and has been working further more as a team for better- ment of Cognitive Dance Therapy and Music Therapy through Dance and Music.
